Distinguished Professor Amitav Acharya from the School of International Service, American University at Washington, D.C., visited the Foundation and was received by President Chun-i Chen. Professor Amitav Acharya is a renowned and influential scholar in the field of international relations, and is known for his work on Southeast Asia, global governance, regionalism, and the rise of non-Western perspectives in international relations theory; he is also the author of The End of American World Order, and was the first non-Western scholar to be elected (2014-2015) as the President of the International Studies Association. During his visit, Professor Acharya presented his new book, The Once and Future World Order: Why Global Civilization Will Survive the Decline of the West, to President Chen, and inquired about the Foundation grants in the American Region and took the opportunity to learn about the application process during this visit.
