The Foundation Announces the Digital Library of Chinese Rare Books is now available online

Jul 25, 2012

The results of one of the Foundation’s major projects, “The Digital Library of Chinese Rare Books”, are now available online. This project represents a collaborative digitization effort involving the Asian Division of the Library of Congress, the Gest East Asian Library at Princeton University, the Harvard-Yenching Library at Harvard University, and the Fu Ssu-nien Library at the Institute of History and Philology, Academia Sinica. Each of the participating libraries contributed digital images of at least 120 Chinese rare books to the database, which now contains a total of over 384,000 such images.
