Professor Alexander Pantsov of Capital University, a renowned Sinologist, recently published Victorious in Defeat: The Life and Times of Chiang Kai-shek, China, 1887–1975. Professor Pantsov was invited to speak at the Taipei International Book Exhibition to share his insights on Chiang Kai-shek and other key leaders in modern Chinese history. Linden Lin of Linking Publishing Company and his wife accompanied Professor Pantsov on the visit. They were received by Chief Secretary Tsui-yin Sung and also toured the Chi-Hai Residence and Chiang Ching-kuo Presidential Library.
